Subterráneos de Buenos Aires S. E. (SBASE) trading as Subte de Buenos Aires (SUBTE) (site in Spanish) with six lines along with premetro line [P] and the Urquiza suburban line.

Trams/LRT

  • The 17 km Metrotranvía Mendoza (STM) light rail line is built along the former railway corridor of the Ferrocarril General San Martín (FCGSM) and opened in 2012. See official Sociedad de Transporte de Mendoza (STM) site (in Spanish) for timetables and more information.
  • Tranvía Histórico is a historic tram/streetcar line in Buenos Aires. It runs a two-kilometre loop in Caballito on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. The stop is at Emilio Mitre 500.

Recent and Future Changes

Recent Changes

Tren Solar de la Quebrada was officially launched on 18 June 2024 and inaugurated over the 35 km, between Volcán, Tumbaya, Purmamarca and Maimará, on 19 June 2024. The final 7km section, Maimará to Tilcara, opened 13 August 2024.

From 16 November 2023, Tren de las Sierras regional services, in the northern city of Córdoba, have been extended 34 km to serve Capilla del Monte, following the completion of renovation work on the metre-gauge line from Valle Hermoso.

According to newspaper reports the last train from Bragado to Pehuajó ran on Sunday 27 October 2024. Services remain 3x weekly from Buenos Aires Once to Bragado.
