(Kunming -) Mo Han LCR - Boten LCR (- Luang Prabang)

The standard gauge Laos China Railway line runs 422 km from the border at Boten to the main Vientiane station, 14 km north east of the city. It continues to a freight terminal near the border with Thailand.
