National Railway Operator
Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) (Malayan Railway Limited), usually referred to as KTM, is the operator in mainland Malaysia.
Jabatan Keretapi Negeri Sabah (Sabah State Railway), the operator in the state of Sabah, is the only system on the island of Borneo. It consists of a single 134km line from Tanjung Aru, Kota Kinabalu to Tenom.

Johor Bahru Sentral KTM - Woodlands Train Checkpoint KTM
KTM operates shuttle trains across the causeway between Johor Bahru Sentral and Woodlands Train Checkpoint. This line is scheduled to close by June 2027, when the Johor Bahru–Singapore Rapid Transit System line to Woodlands North is due to be opened.
Johor Bahru Bukit Chagar RTS - Woodlands North RTS
The Johor Bahru–Singapore Rapid Transit System is due to open in mid 2027. It will replace the shuttle trains across the causeway between Johor Bahru Sentral and Woodlands Train Checkpoint.
Malaysia - Thailand
Padang Besar KTM - Padang Besar SRT
One train each way between Bangkok and Butterworth (Penang). Border formalities take place at the Malaysian station.
Rantau Panjang KTM - Sungai Kolok SRT
This crossing on the eastern coast has been closed since at least 2020.
